This year’s juror is Lauren Faulkner, owner and art consultant at Fine Arts Associates on Oahu. She will give a juror’s talk from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on that Saturday. The Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts Acquisition Committee for the Art In Public Places program will visit the Fall Arts Show on Friday, Nov. 1.
“We expect this upcoming exhibit will provide many new exciting works for their consideration,” said a spokesman.
The opening night and awards presentation is Nov. 1 at 5:30 p,m. The event is free and the public is invited. The exhibit will continue until Wednesday, Nov. 27. The art center is at 141 Kalakaua St. in downtown Hilo.
